Itinerary

If you've chosen the optional airport transfers, our team will arrange to pick you up either from Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi.

Once you've settled in, we'll schedule a pre-trek briefing at your hotel in Moshi. It's recommended to arrive at least one day before the trek begins to ensure you're well-rested and prepared. During the briefing, we'll discuss the itinerary in detail, review your equipment, and provide any necessary rentals to ensure you have everything needed for a successful trek.

After breakfast, you will drive to the Umbwe Gate, where the adventure begins. The trek starts with a steep climb through dense rainforest. The narrow trail, surrounded by towering trees and vibrant greenery, leads you to Umbwe Camp for your first overnight stay.

Today, continue your ascent as you move away from the rainforest and into the heath zone. Enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding valleys and Kibo Peak as you head towards Barranco Camp, situated just below the towering Barranco Wall.
