Guided by our expert team, you will follow a carefully crafted itinerary that enables you to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. Along the way, you will experience the rich cultural heritage of Tanzania, the beauty of its landscapes, and the unique features of the Machame Route, renowned for its scenic variety and challenging terrain. With expert support and a strong sense of camaraderie, you will reach Uhuru Peak and celebrate your achievement on top of the world.
If you've chosen the optional airport transfers, our team will arrange to pick you up either from Kilimanjaro Airport or Arusha Airport and transfer you to your hotel in Moshi.
Once you've settled in, we'll schedule a pre-trek briefing at your hotel in Moshi. It's recommended to arrive at least one day before the trek begins to ensure you're well-rested and prepared. During the briefing, we'll discuss the itinerary in detail, review your equipment, and provide any necessary rentals to ensure you have everything needed for a successful trek.
Start your adventure with a scenic drive to the Machame Gate. From here, begin your trek through the lush rainforest. Enjoy the sights and sounds of the forest and wildlife as you ascend. Your first camp is Machame Camp, set amidst towering trees.
On this day, the trek takes you out of the rainforest and into heathland, offering incredible views of Kilimanjaro’s glaciers. You’ll reach Shira Camp, located on the Shira Plateau, where you’ll be surrounded by rocky outcrops and breathtaking vistas.
The trek today takes you through alpine meadows and into the Barranco Valley, where you will spend the night at Barranco Camp. This day offers magnificent views of the Breach Wall and the glaciers that cover Kilimanjaro.
Today, you will tackle the famous Barranco Wall, a challenging but rewarding climb, before continuing through the alpine desert terrain. The journey ends at Karanga Camp, where you will rest for the night.
Today's trek will take you to Barafu Camp, where you will spend the night before your summit attempt. The views along the way are spectacular, with the looming presence of Uhuru Peak visible as you climb higher.
Start your summit attempt around midnight from Barafu Camp. The climb will take 6-8 hours to reach the summit, where you will witness an unforgettable sunrise and panoramic views from Uhuru Peak. Afterward, descend to Mweka Camp for rest and celebration.
On your final day, descend from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, where you will receive your summit certificate. Afterward, we’ll transfer you back to Moshi to celebrate your achievement.
